happy birthday riley!

Riley was born in the early morning hours on March 3, 1997. He had a quiet birth, and didn't even cry. I had never seen a new born smile.

At 10 days he became critically ill and was admitted to intensive care. We were told he had ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), he was put on a ventilator, had a chest tube, and multiple iv/medicine ports. Things were touch and go for more than a week. I was terrified we may never get the chance to know this new little soul that had graced our family. I am grateful every day for his recovery. He's a wonderful little man, truly life's most luxe gift... 13 today! Love you Riley Roo! xoxo
